  1. You know, that is actually cool, even though I am unable to understand a word of it.
The picture of the Tomahawk joystick alone makes it worth the visit πŸ™‚ – If it was not for that picture, I would never have remembered that a friend had one back in the late 1980s even if someone named it. Thank you very much for providing a trip down nostalgia avenue πŸ˜‰
Personally, I never found it in my heart to throw away my self-built Amiga joystick (built with a true german arcade stick which set me back $50+ alone in 1988, microswitched buttons – all serviceable), and now I’m using it with Amiga Forever for the ultimate teleportation back to my gaming days… All thanks to Retronic Design.

  2. I’ve just finished giving it a good workout on WinUAE and VICE and it works perfectly on both!
What a difference using my favourite old joystick (an Atari CX-24) rather than the PC keyboard – it was just like being 15 again! πŸ™‚
Thanks so much on making such a great product!

  3. Hi Francis,
I am glad to let you that it arrived today.
I just tried it and have the confirmation that my C64 joystick is of amazing quality; after so many years no one used it, it feels like brand new. The adapter seems to work very well πŸ™‚

Thank you, you deserve the best feedback.

  4. Hi,

Just to let you know I received the device and it works perfectly with the following combination: Windows 8.1/Vice/Quickshot II.

I’m very pleased and consider it well worth the money, especially since I’m still as good at Buggy Boy as I remember being when I was 12. πŸ™‚

    Cheers!

  7. Love this adapter. Easy to flash, works for classic
    99. I built my own 10 button controller for the Classic 99 emulator. Thank you.

  8. Has anyone tried PADDLE CONTROLLERS on “TheC64” Mini or Fullsize yet? Does this work on them with original Atari Paddles?

  9. Is there a way to get the Universal D-SUB9 to USB adapter to work on the RaspberryPi with BlueberryMSX installed? BlueberryMSX is BlueMSX for the Raspberry Pi. I happen to have a Raspberry Pi 3 model B+ with BlueberryMSX and a game menu called “zemmix.py” which contains 10 Korean MSX games. The BlueberryMSX emulator and “zemmix.py” menu was created by a guy named Meeso Kim. I used the Universal D-SUB9 to USB adapter with an MSX controller and changed the adapter’s firmware to “MSX Joypad v3.2” via Mr. Switcher. I plugged it into my Raspberry Pi with my MSX controller connected to the adapter. When the “zemmix.py” menu appeared, none of the controls worked. Since this is on Raspberry Pi, is it possible to change the MSX joypad firmware so that MSX controllers can work with BlueberryMSX and the “zemmix.py” menu? I would like know if there is a way to do it and play the 10 Korean MSX games as well the rest of the MSX library using the original MSX controllers. The link to the Meeso Kim’s MSX Emulator for Raspberry Pi can be found in the link below as well as the code for the “zemmix.py” menu.

  10. Hello Francis, first off thank you for contributing to the Amiga community with your projects, it is much appreciated! Second, I am wondering what is the best way to give back to you for all of your hard work. In the near future, I am planning to produce a limited amount of external floppy adapters and if I am able to sell some of them I would like to donate some of the profits back to the source. I am not expecting substantial earnings if any due to the cost of the materials and limited market need but if there are any extra funds available I would be willing to donate some of it, let me know…! Thank you again for your contributions to the retro community and keep up the good work!
